Seek Eternal things

A big crowd went in search of Jesus to Capernaum. This incident happened after Jesus had fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fishes. When they reached Jesus and asked Him "Rabbi, when did you get here?"

"26Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval." John 6: 26,27

We can compare all the materialistic things to the food in the above passage. As the food will spoil, all the luxuries, fame, positions, riches and honour in life are temporal and they will decay very fast. We cannot take any of the materialistic things in to heaven. What is the motive with which we seek Jesus today?. What is the motive of our prayers today?. Let us try to analyse our lives. If all our motives are temporal and materialistic, let us read again what Jesus said in the above passage.Let us seek the food that endures to the eternal life. Let all our thoughts be eternal and fixed on Him who is the author and finisher of life, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us seek the Kigdom of God and all the earthly blessings will be bestowed upon us.

Let us lead a life worthy and pleasing to God and all our physical needs will surely be met by Him.
